Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) with a one-day orientation training for members of the body of neutrals. Held at the High Court of Justice conference hall in Jos, the event aimed to provide a comprehensive orientation on the vital roles neutrals play in the ADR spectrum.
The primary objective of the programme was to equip members of the body of neutrals with essential knowledge on ADR methodologies, the application of ADR in the administration of criminal justice, and the importance of continuous learning in the field.
Neutrals, as impartial third parties, play pivotal roles in facilitating negotiations and structuring the dispute resolution process to ensure amicable resolutions. The training aimed to refresh their understanding of their roles, legislative frameworks, and responsibilities.
"The purpose of the alternative dispute resolution center is to bring justice closer to the people, settle disputes amicably, and forge peaceful coexistence," emphasized Senlong, urging neutrals to approach their assignments with dedication and impartiality.
The orientation training marks a significant milestone in PMDC's commitment to fostering efficient and collaborative dispute resolution mechanisms. With a renewed focus on continuous learning and excellence, PMDC and its neutrals are poised to play a transformative role in justice administration and delivery in Plateau State.
